Original Signs that are Hand Crafted in the United States

All Jones' rustic signs begin with an original "Lorna Jones" design. Each pine board is carefully sanded, stained, and painted to emphasize the distinctive character of the wood. Next an artist hand stencils the board using a special shading technique. Each artist then signs and dates the back of each work. Finally, each completed sign is hand framed and individually distressed by a skilled craftsman to give it that warm, weathered and one-of-a-kind feel and look.

Our signs are intended for indoor display. The crackle boards are made with a water-based material that washes off if the sign gets wet, so care must be taken to display crackle signs inside. The other board colors such as black, navy, or cream, are treated with a stain that has a sealer in it so they can go outside if under a covered porch. Lorna has a Merry Christmas sign that has been out on her porch for over 10 Christmas seasons and it still looks great.

Because each sign is individually stenciled, delivery of our signs usually takes from two to three weeks. (We do not silk screen or air brush our signs.)
